Job Description

The LEGO Group is looking for Senior Fullstack JavaScript Engineers to work on the LEGO.com technology platform as part of our Marketing & Engagement Technology team based in London.

You will be committed to one of the dedicated squads within the LEGO Group, working alongside a dedicated and diverse team of software engineers as well as working with Principal Engineers and Engineering Leadership on solving some of our largest and most complex problems.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product managers, UX designers and engineers to deliver both new functionality and iterative improvements to internal and external customer experiences on the VIP program.
  • Build efficient and reusable applications and services using JavaScript – React / Node.js / GraphQL / Lambda / AWS serverless stack
  • Participate in code reviews with other engineers
  • Focus on sharing knowledge with other engineers

Identify and resolve scalability and performance issues

Working closely with product owners, architects and engineering managers, our Application Engineers are a vital part of the LEGO.com engineering team. We have implemented a modern front-end stack based around Next.js, React and GraphQL with a cloud-native AWS serverless back-end and we use the platform to design, build and operate LEGO.com.

Our engineers work in interdisciplinary squads each arranged around clear product goals with responsibility for delivery of their own product roadmaps.

You’ll spend your time working in our Marketing and Engagement team focusing on delivering new solutions for the VIP Experience on LEGO.com.

  • You will be committed to one of the dedicated squads within the LEGO Group, working alongside a dedicated and diverse team of software engineers as well as working with Principal Engineers and Engineering Leadership on solving some of our largest and most complex problems.

    This is a permanent full-time position based in London.

    You should be a good communicator and able to work co-operatively in a team environment. Be enthusiastic and proactive in learning the technologies and capabilities of the LEGO Groups existing software. You should have an exceptional eye for detail with a passion for building high quality solutions. You should be self-motivated, positive, self-disciplined, reliable, honest and collaborative.
